“Our lives are simply the pursuit of internal fantasies complicated by the external realities we confront as we pass through this plane of existence. My recent works have been large-scale portraits of amazing and yet ordinary people from chance encounters. Painting in an expressive realism style, I attempt to reveal spirit and fortitude. I believe the purpose of art is to communicate, and with my paintings, I communicate hope through a celebration of the vitality of humanity.”
